As a Landscape Artist he creates his work in the mediums of Oil, Watercolour, Pastel, Pen and Ink, Pencil and Mixed Media. Scenes by this Irish Landscape Artist are much sought after and many of his Irish Scenes have gone abroad.
The Artist
Irish Landscape Artist Peter Growney was born at Frayne, Athboy, Co Meath, a country townland nestling in a small valley of serene beauty, which initially inspired his great love of landscape painting.This love of beauty was later enhanced when he received his first art training at The Salesian College, Ballinakill, Portlaoise. Later he again attended Art classes at Bray, VEC, Co. Wicklow. He now resides in Bray and devotes his full time to painting. He has had a number of very successful one man exhibitions. He is presently working on a number of commisions and hopes to have another exhibition in the near future.
