My sister Mary’s collection of three of my earlier works
2 SepThe Old Tara Post Office at Ross Cross,Co Meath. Those were the days of the old switch board with twenty six local subscribers and when a booked call to Dublin would take sometimes twenty minutes to get through if the lines were busy!!!!
The Old Post Office was run by my late Aunt Bea who was a great favourite with all who called for the stamps, childrens allowance, pensions and to send telegrams. Independents and Irish Presses were collected each morning by local people who had them on order. Great happy memories!!! Nothing left of the Old Post Office now except a few bits of the walls almost hidden by foliage! Would have cost a fortune to maintain!
.
My sister Mary worked in The La Touche Hotel as did I back in the early 70’s and I did this oil painting of Old Greystones Harbour for her!!! Hasn’t it changed too??????

A little Watercolour of a scene from the Hill of Tara.

Certificate of Authenticity
A Giclee Print of Old Greystones Harbour from an Original Watercolour Painting by Irish Landscape Artist Peter Growney.
Giclee prints….Giclee printing is a process for producing Fine Art prints from original artwork using highly specialised wide format inkjet printers. The use of ‘Epson Ultrachrome’ pigment inks on pure white, heavyweight ‘Hahnemuehle’ German Etching paper ensures the prints are of archival quality. Giclee prints professionally produced, on canvas or Fine art paper are internationally accepted, certified and exhibited as being of archival quality by major museums and art galleries. They are more expensive than prints produced by more traditional methods but have many advantages. Not least the fact that in addition to being permanent and non fade, when displayed they are virtually indistinguishable from original paintings.
